The sudden loss or discovery of a damaged priceless photo can be very traumatizing. This special service can also be very expensive. Some professionals charge up to $1,000 an hour for image restoration and retouching.

My service fee for image restoration varies, but typically follows the pricing on the chart to the right. On average, $35 an hour is common. The price breakdown below will help you estimate your costs.

Light Damage:

Considered to be lightly damaged originals with up to three minor repairs outside of major areas (major areas being defined as the face or body parts). This can also include some simple color corrections as shown above.

The image above had a color correction to adjust and remove the red tint from the image.

Medium Damage:

Considered to be medium damaged originals with up to three medium repairs outside of major areas or one single major area of repair (major areas being defined as the face or body parts).

The image above had a color correction and a crease removed from the child's face.

Heavy Damage:

Considered to be heavily damaged originals with up to three major repairs including facial features.

The image above had a color correction, edge repairs, and creases running through the woman's face and hands. The child had repairs to her face and arm.
